Novak Djokovic v Felix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head
There has been one previous match at the highest level between them and they faced off yet again in an exhibition match earlier this year. Djokovic won them both, and in straight sets at Rome and Hurlingham.

We had reckoned there was every chance Djokovic, despite starting out a heavy favourite, might have been slightly rusty in his opening encounter against Frances Tiafoe.
For one, Djokovic hadn’t played competitive tennis in two months. Secondly he was coming up against a player who had shown solid form recently and that showed in his confidence.
Djokovic was having none of it as he cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win over Tiafoe to help Team Europe notch up a point. To add to that, Djokovic drilled home the same point as he combined with Matteo Berrettini in the final match of the day to another straight-set win over Jack Sock and Alex de Minaur.
With the Serb in the kind of touch he has been in, there will be no doubting who starts off as a huge favourite here. He should be able to maintain that rhythm.

Auger-Aliassime Falls in Gruelling Three-Setter
Before getting down to the business in this match, Auger-Aliassime will be partnering with Jack Sock for the first match of the day. Almost immediately after that, he takes on the 21-time Grand Slam winner for this one. Things couldn’t get tougher.
Which is also why Auger-Aliassime’s fitness could be tested and going up against one of the fittest guys in tennis, that would make the job that much tougher than it is.
Auger-Aliassime had also featured in a singles encounter on day one, going up against Matteo Berrettini. In a match lasting two hours and 17 minutes, Auger-Aliassime frittered a set-point in the tie-breaker, saved five of them too but then lost the first set to his Italian opponent.
He reversed the damage by winning the second before the match tie-breaker went Berrettini’s way.
