Dalma Galfi v Erika Andreeva Head to Head

World No. 91 Dalma Galfi reached her first WTA 125 final this year, but couldn’t be crowned the champion after going down to Sara Errani in the final of the Contrexéville Open.
In addition to the clay court final, she also featured in a grass court final this year, clinching the ITF Ilkley Open title.
Galfi has a winning record on all three surfaces in 2022 and brings an overall record of 34-20 to Parma. Her best performance at the tour-level was a run to the third round of the U.S. Open.
The 24-year-old Hungarian has not been in god form recently. She has won just one match from two WTA 125 tournaments this month. Can she lift her game in Parma? She will be expected to do well in the opener against a lower ranked qualifier but things will get difficult in the second round, where she could face either Lucia Bronzetti or Maryna Zanevska.

Andreeva Comes Through Qualifiers
Erika Andreeva was in excellent form during the qualifying rounds. The World no. 132 demolished Italy’s Federica Di Sarra 6-1, 6-1 in the first qualifying round and then breezed past Spain’s Rebeka Masarova 6-2, 6-2 to reach the main draw.
The Russian hasn’t played much at the tour-level this season, mostly featuring in qualifying and ITF events. She did make her Grand slam debut after qualifying at the U.S. Open, but lost in the first round to Petra Kvitova.
Andreeva produced her best result this year at the ITF La Bisbal D’Emporda in Spain, where she finished runner-up. What was commendable was the fact hat she had entered the tournament as a qualifier. She had also made it to the semifinals of another ITF tournament after coming through the qualifiers.
Andreeva is 41-18 overall and 26-12 on clay. Can she pull off a surprise on Tuesday?
