Maria Sakkari v Mayar Sherif Head to Head
It’s 1-1 from their two previous meetings with Sakkari winning the most recent battle in Doha last year in straight sets.

Top seed Maria Sakkari had to come back from a set down in each of her first three rounds in Parma. But not in the semifinals on Saturday.
The Greek needed an hour and 32 minutes to beat Montenegro’s Danka Kovinic in straight sets. Sakkari did find things difficult in the opening set when she lost four games in a row after building a 3-0 lead thanks to a double break up front. Sakkari, however, got a third break late in the set and she held on to take the set 7-5.
In the second set, both players held serve for the first four games, but then the World no. 7 ran away with the match, winning five games in a row for a 7-5, 6-2 victory.
Sakkari had scored comeback wins over beat Kateryna Baindl and Arantxa Rus in the first two rounds. She also lost the opening set against Maryna Zanevska in the quarterfinal, before scoring a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory over the Belgian.
The Greek will be playing in her sixth career final, but has won just one of the five previous finals. That win also came in her only clay final in Rabat. Can she make it 2 in 2 on clay?

Sherif Enters Second Tour-Level Final
World no. 74 Mayar Sherif battled past sixth seed and World no. 54 Ana Bogdan in a two hour and 52 minute semifinal on Saturday.
After both players got a break each in the first two sets, Sherif found herself a break down in the third. But she got the break back immediately and then broke again late in the set for a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 victory.
Sherif had won the first three rounds in straight sets. She had beaten Anna Bondar and Simona Waltert in the first two rounds respectively and then knocked out Lauren Davis in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
This is Sherif’s second tour-level final after she finished runner-up in Cluj Napoca last year.
Sakkari v Sherif Prediction and Tip
Sakkari is the favourite in this match. She should pick her second title on Saturday.
