Veronika Kudermetova v Varvara Gracheva Head to Head

World No. 90 Varvara Gracheva is looking to close the season positively, but that dream looks bleaker by the day.
She has arrived in Monastir for the maiden Jasmin Open with a tally of 22-25, having lost to Anna Blinkova in the Korea Open first round most recently. Before that, however, Gracheva reached a rare quarterfinal on the WTA Tour in Chennai – beating Mariia Tkacheva and Carol Zhao en route.
The 22-year-old has had her moments as well. Notably, Varvara made it to the third round in the French Open and round two in Madrid and Dubai – both as a qualifier.
As for her silverware collection, she hasn’t picked up a trophy of any kind in over three years and is still on the prowl for her maiden WTA final.

Kudermetova, Cruising Beautifully
Veronika Kudermetova will be pleased with how she has fared in 2022. She is the current World No. 13 – a career-best feat for her – and has an impressive singles tally of 34-18.
The 25-year-old Russian has been superbly consistent in her last several events, having reached the semis in the Japan Open and WTA San Jose, and the round of 16 Cincinnati Open and the US Open.
Kudermetova was also a quarterfinalist in the French Open and Indian Wells and the runner-up in Melbourne Set 1, WTA Dubai, and WTA Istanbul. And if that isn’t enough, she is also the doubles #4 with five doubles finals appearances in 2022.
Kudermetova v Gracheva Prediction and Tip
Anything short of a straight-set win would simply be unacceptable from Veronika. After all, she has had a beautiful year and is coming in with a fair bit of momentum while Varvara has been visibly struggling to deliver wins.
