Emma Raducanu v Daria Kasatkina Head to Head

World No. 11 Daria Kasatkina is set to resume her season after a month-long break from the tour. The 25-year-old last played in the US Open, where she was stunned in the first round by Harriet Dart.
Nonetheless, the fact remains that the Russian is 37-17 this season with two singles titles from the Silicon Valley Classic and Granby Championships.
Daria also featured in the quarterfinal in Berlin and Bad Homburg and the semis of the Italian Open and French Open.
Kasatkina has been fairly impressive in 2022 and will look to end the year in the top 10. She was ranked #9 in August but couldn’t quite hold on to that position. A good result here will also help further cement her prospects of playing in the year-end WTA Finals.

Raducanu, Gaining Experience
19-year-old Emma Raducanu is coming to Ostrava after a semifinal feat in the Korea Open a couple of weeks ago. Even though she retired from the match against Jelena Ostapenko in the third set, she will be happy with her performance.
After all, it was Emma’s first such run since winning the US Open last season. Between then and now, Raducanu has visibly struggled to deliver runs and win more than two matches in any single tournament.
Not so surprisingly, she is now World No. 66 and has a record of 17-18.
Compared to Kasatkina, Raducanu clearly lacks momentum, experience, and pedigree. However, the Brit has proven that she is a skilled athlete who can punch above her weight and deliver surprises.
Case in point, in her third-round stint in Cincinnati, she beat two former world number 1s – Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka. Can she do the same to Daria?
Raducanu v Kasatkina Prediction and Tip
Expect an entertaining match. Kasatkina is the odds-on favourite, but Raducanu is an underdog bet worth making – given her abilities and prominence. For now, we may be looking at a long affair.
