Fruhvirtova Easily Comes Through the Qualifiers
Following a maiden career title win at the Chennai Open, the 17-year-old Fruhvirtova shot to fame earlier this year and she would now like to build on that result.
The Czech hasn’t quite been able to follow through that result in Chennai with anything of note in Seoul and Monastir, with first round losses punctuating both appearances.
But if her performance at the qualifiers of this tournament in Guadalajara were anything to go by, Fruhvirtova can be looked at as an interesting prospect for this match.
The teenager easily defeated Nadiya Kichenok and Elina Avanesyan to make it to the main draw where she will start off with a decent shot against an inconsistent player. Can she break her opening round losing run?
