Botic van de Zandschulp has not been playing that well lately losing a couple of very winnable matches. He won’t be too disappointed as he generally had a very good season but it would be good to end it on a high note. He posted a 38-26 record which is fine but certainly could have been a bit better.
His last two matches were both losses and his loss to Dominic Stricker in Antwerpen was far worse than the one against Novak Djokovic in Astana. Botic is a good player indoors because his serve is one of his major weapons. When’ he’s having a good day he gets many short balls and that makes his life far easier.
He posted a 13-5 record indoors last year and a 12-6 record the year before however he’s only 3-4 this year. It’s clear that his form is slowly dipping with the long year taking a toll on him. Whether he can muster up some more good tennis remains to be seen.

Mannarino Trending Downwards
Similar to his opponent, Adrian Mannarino is trending downwards. The French player is a very good indoor player with his combination of forehand and serve. Funnily enough, neither of those shots are powerful but they are very precise and usually on point.
That makes him somewhat consistent which is good enough to beat solid players year-round but not enough to beat the best and for the most part that’s how his career has looked like. He’s 31-30 this year and 6-5 indoors which is far but not spectacular.
He’s been up and down in the past month and that’s how his tennis looked for the most part. Sometimes he plays well and then he’s tough to beat but other times he’s completely bad and losses fairly easily. It’s hard to predict what kind of show we’ll get here.
van de Zandschulp v Mannarino Prediction and Tip
Both of their clashes came this year and both have one win. Botic won early in the season in Australia and Mannarino won in Winston-Salem. Tough to say so I’ll say we get a close one indoors.
