Hubert Hurkacz v Stan Wawrinka Head to Head

Hurkacz was tested and pushed to his absolute limits by the energetic and flamboyant Alexander Bublik who is Kazakhstan’s Team Captain.
After edging out the first set in a tiebreak on his fifth set point, Hurkacz was broken for the first and only time in the match at the start of the second set. Bublik seized control of the affair and consolidated in all his service games.
In the decider, it appeared like a tiebreak would ensue. However, Bublik was put under constant pressure in the eighth game of the third set as Hurkacz played some crunching deep returns to earn his only break of the match. That proved sufficient as he served his way to victory by smashing his 18th ace on match point.

Wawrinka Bests Bublik
Like Hurkacz, Stan Wawrinka also saw off Alexander Bublik in his own singles match a couple of days earlier. He came into the match as a slight underdog and was looking to make amends for his no-show the last time the two contested an ATP Tour event last season.
Wawrinka hardly looked in a spot of bother this time at the United Cup as he utilized his groundstroke accuracy and weight of shot to breach Bublik’s defenses. With 10 aces in his bag, Wawrinka did not face a single break point.
And what was even more daring, he won 29 out of 34 first-serve points. Bublik simply had no answers to Wawrinka’s near-perfect baseline hitting. A much sterner test lies in wait for Team Switzerland as they take on one of the favorites for the crown in Poland.
Hurkacz vs Wawrinka Prediction and Tip
Hurkacz needed to be on his toes, otherwise, that match against Bublik was threatening to spiral out of his control. Wawrinka had no such problems in dismissing the unpredictable Kazakh in his opener, but everything points out to an evenly-matched tie between these two countries.
