Roberto Bautista Agut v Sebastian Korda Head to Head

Roberto Bautista Agut went against the script and pulled off a major shock at the Adelaide International, beating No. 5 seed Andrey Rublev in his opener.
The Spaniard had lost his last two matches against Rublev, but surprisingly had won all three bouts on hard courts. And Bautista Agut kept that record intact on the quick surface in Adelaide, coming from behind to win 4-6 6-3 6-4.
After a tight opening set that featured just one break of serve in the Russian’s favor, Rublev seized control at the start of the second. The World No. 21 was unable to find his range as he went down a break early on.
But Rublev began spraying too many errors and became complacent. Bautista Agut secured two quick service breaks to turn the set around. He held comfortably at 5-3 to level the match.
The decider was tight too, and after Bautista Agut saved a crucial break point at 3-3, he went on to apply the pressure on Rublev who dropped his serve in the next game. The Spaniard did not relinquish his lead.

Korda Deals Murray A Setback
Sebastian Korda extended his winning record over Andy Murray, beating him in straight sets, and opened his 2023 account with a win at the Adelaide International.
The American, however, came through a very complicated straight-sets win which was a marathon that lasted two minutes shy of two hours.
The first set lasted an hour and 17 minutes and featured some thrilling and tense rallies. The pair exchanged breaks midway through the first set, which was then decided in a tiebreak. It was Korda who dominated it from start to finish, and on the balance of play probably deserved to go ahead.
Murray’s record from a losing position does not make pretty reading. And he played catch up for most of the second set where he eventually caved in allowing Korda to sneak ahead at 3-2. The American rained down 12 aces overall, five of those coming in the second set.
Bautista Agut v Korda Prediction and Tip
Every time I watch Sebastian Korda play, he amazes me at how he glides around the court. For a man of his size it is exceptional, especially on hard courts. Bautista Agut scored a very fine win over Rublev, but Korda’s performance against Murray is too hard to ignore and he should be able to wear down another big name.
