Daria Kasatkina v Barbora Krejcikova Head to Head
Their only previous outing came at the 2021 Cincinnati Open where it was Krejcikova who had registered a straight-set win.

Kasatkina was a huge favourite going into her first round match here in Adelaide last week but Linda Noskova shocked her in three sets.
This is not to say Kasatkina has had a poor run before that. In fact such was Kasatkina’s performance last year she ended the season ranked eighth, which is her career-best ever.
Two titles came her way too, and add a French Open semifinal under her belt, it was no surprise she was expected to steamroll Noskova there.
Unfortunately for her, Noskova looked to be far too well-prepared and definitely not as rusty as Kasatkina looked in the encounter.
Now, again, Kasatkina had a first round bye here while her opponent, Krejcikova is coming off a win in her opener. What that means is the Russian will need to get off to a flier against a player who looked like she was getting back to her best.

Krejcikova Sends Riske Out
She was an overwhelming favourite coming into her opening round match against Alison Riske and Krejcikova played like one to carve out her second round berth.
The former French Open winner, who had been off the boil in the first half of the previous season, registered a 6-2, 7-6 (3) win over her American opponent in a match lasting over two hours.
Krejcikova made a slow start with her serve when she was broken in the very first game but came back well to dish out something similar three times in that very set.
And while Riske managed to hold on to her serve in the second set, saving five break-points in the process, she failed to stop Krejcikova in the tie-breaker that followed.
What the Czech player will now want is to put up a similar showing as she hopes to take advantage of Kasatkina’s rustiness.
Kasatkina v Krejcikova Prediction and Tip
This won’t be a straightforward match one way or the other and we can expect it to go into a third. Interestingly, it’s Krejcikova who starts off a favourite at 8/11 but we aren’t sure of which way this match might head.
