Anna Blinkova v Lauren Davis Head to Head
There has been one previous meeting between these two players and it came at the 2019 New Haven Open. Blinkova had won it in straight sets.

For the fifth time in this tournament, which includes a couple of qualifiers as well, Blinkova was able to get past her opponent in straight sets. And for the second time in a row, it was against a player who had gone into the encounter a bookmakers’ favourite.
Blinkova, who was 11/10 to win this, cruised past Yulia Putintseva 6-3, 6-4 to reach the semifinal.
The world number 72, following on from wins against Lucia Bronzetti and Marie Bouzkova in the first two rounds, needed an hour and 42 minutes to register another victory.
She saved four break-points in the first set and five more in a rather long 10th game of the second set apart from frittering away four match-points to clinch the win.
Now, up against another qualifier, Blinkova will fancy her chances of making it to her second final at this level.

Davis in Sizzling Form Too
Much like Blinkova, Davis has also made it through to the semifinal after coming in as a qualifier. More importantly, she has also won all her matches in straight sets including her quarterfinal victory over Xinyu Wang.
An hour and 23 minutes is all that Davis took to steamroll her opponent 6-3, 6-3 with some superior serving paving the way for her win.
Because Davis got 78% of her first serves in and won 67% of those points. More interestingly, she won 69% of her second serves. As compared to that Wang’s corresponding numbers were 58%, 58% and 41% respectively.
