Dalma Galfi is playing some really solid tennis so far as she won three matches so far in Linz. She won two in the qualifiers to make it into the main draw and then took down Bernarda Pera in straight sets which was a very impressive win for her.
Galfi has never been the best indoor as she rarely played in those conditions. Her all-time record is 26-27 and that’s with the 3-1 record this year. She’s playing solid tennis with very few mistakes and sometimes that’s just enough against some players.
It won’t be enough against Lys as she’ll actually have to take the match. She can do it as she generally plays an attacking style when she’s on clay – her favourite surface.
It will be tough but on her best day, its’ possible.

Lys Keep Improving
Eva Lys defeated Kamilla Rakhvimova in the first round rather comfortably. The German player is an attacking player who thrives in these conditions but she generally performs rather well on all surfaces. A top 100 debut is near and a win here would get her closer to that goal.
Lys has a 6-2 record so far and her all-time indoor record is 37-13 which just shows how more comfortable than her opponent she is in these conditions. Being an aggressive player by nature will give her another advantage in this matchup.
Shes’ favoured to win for several reasons as has generally played better this year. The talent is there, the confidence is now there as well and there is very little that could derail her at the moment.
She can be streaky at times so there lies the biggest danger.
Galfi v Lys Prediction and Tip
There is a chance that Galfi could make this interesting as she’s playing really well at the moment but I’ll back Lys to win comfortably.
