Our 2023 ATP Rotterdam Open Predictions & Picks

This is one of the most competitive fields for an ATP 500 tournament you are likely to see all year. Even in the absences of the likes of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Murray, there is plenty of interest and fascinating matchups in store.

Stefanos Tsitispas will be looking to bounce back from his second Grand Slam final defeat. Since his debut at this tournament in 2017, Tsitsipas is inching closer to final glory every time he returns to Rotterdam.

Two years ago, Tsitsipas was a semifinalist, while last year he lost a close one to Auger-Aliassime in the championship match. Can he make it count this time? If he emulates his form from the Australian summer, he will be the man to beat this week.

Outside Tsitsipas, any of the other top eight seeds have a fair chance of winning. A player who I’m intrigued to watch is Daniil Medvedev. The Russian has dropped outside the world’s Top 10 for the first time in a while.

Medvedev suffered a very disappointing Australian Open campaign by his own lofty standards, losing in the third round to Sebastian Korda. However, he has a point to prove and we might see the best version of Medvedev in Rotterdam.

We are backing potentially the safest outright winners during the week.
