Taylor Fritz v Adrian Mannarino Head to Head
Mannarino has a 2-1 lead, but his win came in 2016 and 2017. Fritz won the most recent contest, played in Acapulco last year. The American won that match in straight sets.

A semifinalist in Dallas last week, Taylor Fritz is a win away from reaching the semifinals in Delray Beach this week. The top seed, who had a first round bye, needed an hour and 28 minutes to dispatch Ecuador’s Emilio
Gomez in the round of 16 on Thursday.
After getting the solitary break of the opening set, Fritz found himself under bit of pressure in the second as the world no. 94 broke him in the first game to take a 0-2 lead.
The world no. 7, however, came back into the set a couple of games later and then finished in a hurry, winning the last five games in a row. He struck 11 aces and 25 winners on his way to a 6-4, 6-3 victory.
The 25-year-old improved to 8-3 for the season. He played a vital role in the United States’ triumphant run at the United Cup, winning 4 of his 5 singles matches in that tournament.
He then made a disappointing second round exit from the Australian Open before reaching the final four stage in Dallas, where he was stunned by China’s Wu Yibing.
Fritz has never gone beyond the quarterfinals in Delray Beach, having reached that stage just once in 2018. Will he be able to reach the semis this year?

Mannarino Cruises Past Wolf
Adrian Manarino knocked out ninth seed JJ Wolf to sail into the quarterfinals in Delray Beach for the fifth time in his career.
The Frenchman’s best effort in the tournament was a semifinal finish in 2015. Since then he lost in the last eight stage in 2016, 2019 and 2022.
This year, the left-hander is back in the quarterfinals. He had begun his campaign with a come-from -behind win over Germany’s Daniel Altmaier in the first round. On Thursday, he added a second win in the tournament, defeating the world no. 39 in an hour and 48 minutes.
Mannarino, the world no. 59, wasn’t broken by Wolf in the match as he saved both the break points that he faced. He got the solitary break of the opening set and took charge of the second from the beginning as he built a 4-0 lead.
Mannarino improved to 7-4 in 2023. He was also a quarterfinalist in Dalas last week. It will be interesting to see if the 34-year-old can topple the top seed and reach the semifinals in the tournament for the second time.
Fritz v Mannarino Prediction and Tip
Fritz won their last meeting with ease. He has shown better form over the last one year and has looked in decent touch this year. Mannarino will put up a fight, but the top seed should eventually come through.
