Where will the 2023 ATP Rio Open be played?
The 2023 ATP Rio Open will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from February 18 (qualifying) until February 26, 2023, when the men’s singles final will be held.

The 2023 ATP Rio Open will feature 32 players in the singles draw. The top eight seeds are all ranked inside the world’s top 50.
The top seed is Carlos Alcaraz who is making his third appearance at the tournament. Alcaraz is the defending champion after winning the 2022 edition of the Rio Open – becoming at the time the youngest winner of an ATP 500 tournament since that category was created in 2009.

Our 2023 ATP Rio Open Predictions & Picks
Since the event was put on the calendar in 2014, no payer has successfully defended the Rio Open crown. So for Carlos Alcaraz, the odds are clearly stacked against him. Not only that, Alcaraz will be playing in just his second ATP tournament of the season in Brazil’s seaside city, so he might be a little short on match practice unless he goes deep in Buenos Aires.
With that said, we still think the Spaniard is a class above the rest of the field and will naturally start as the favorite.
The event has thrown a couple of underdog triumphs in years gone by with Pablo Cuevas winning it in 2016 and Laslo Djere doing so in 2019. So do not be surprised if you see a first-time ATP titlist this week.
The longshot here would probably be Hugo Dellien who is coming off a great run in Cordoba where he reached the semifinal as a qualifier.
