Andrey Rublev v Ugo Humbert Head to Head
They played three times so far with Rublev winning two of those matches. The only match Humbert won was on grass in Halle.

A couple of weeks after losing to Lehecka in Doha, Rublev to got his revenge by beating him Indian Wells. It was a really impressive performance by the Russian who is starting to pick up his form after experiencing a mini-crisis of play after the Australian Open.
He’s up to 10 wins now with six losses as well. He’s played in a final but failed to win it however it did wonders for him confidence-wise. A 3rd appearance here is a solid result for Rublev but he’d like to go as far as he did last year (semifinal).
Indian Wells suits him if he can control the way rallies unfold. He has the power to finish off points however he doesn’t do that well when attacked as he’s never been good at defending points. He lost to Fritz here that way and he’ll need to keep Humbert from doing that.
The matchup is in his favour and he leads 2-1 in matches so far. I think he’ll be well-prepared for his opponent and should win.

Humbert Stuns Shapovalov
Ugo Humbert hasn’t played very good tennis last year but he’s back to playing good tennis lately. It’s been a slow process but playing indoors back home in France did wonders for his confidence. It’s showing here with a couple of solid wins.
The win over Shapovalov was greatly aided by the weather as the match was stopped at a time when Shapalov was playing a bit better. Upon return, it was Humbert who was much better ultimately getting the straight-sets win over the Canadian.
There are no secrets about the way he play – a very good serve and a very good forehand. He’s quite streaky so that game can be excellent and horrible in the span of days. The higher bounce here certainly helps him and he’ll give Rublev some trouble if he pulls up with his best level.
The only surface he beat him so far is grass and that was mainly due to his serve. It’s crucial that he serves well, otherwise, he’s done.
Rublev v Humbert Prediction and Tip
Rublev is the pretty big favourite and I could see him winning this easily however I do expect a good level from Hubert. I think this could go three sets but certainly, an over should be in play. Backing Rublev to win has very little value with this odd.
