Sinner Eases Past Musetti

Seventh seed Jannik Sinner has been in incredible form this year and the Italian reached his third straight Masters 1000 semifinal with a straight sets win over Lorenzo Musetti in the quarterfinal of the Monte Carlo Masters on Friday.

The world no. 8 dominated the all-Italian battle right from the start and knocked out Musetti a day after the latter had ousted top seed Novak Djokovic in a three-set contest.

Sinner saved all five of the break points that he saved in the match and converted 4 of 6 to beat the 16th seed, 6-2, 6-2 in an hour and 16 minutes.
