Martina Trevisan v Jana Fett Head to Head

Nuria Parrizas-Diaz struggled through the first set of her opener against Trevisan before retiring from the encounter because of injury. This left Trevisan with her third win of the season on clay and took her a step forward towards realising a repeat of her showing here last season.
A title winner in Rabat in 2022, Trevisan needed 47 minutes to run through her opponent in the first set but what she would need to do is get better with her serving.
While she did get the better of Parrizas-Diaz’s serve on three occasions in the opening set, Trevisan faced seven break-points on her own serve. She was also broken once.

Fett Eases Past Nahimana
In a battle between two players ranked outside the top 250, Fett needed an hour and 24 minutes to ease past Sada Nahimana. This gave Fett her first main draw win of the season and set her up to take on the defending champion in the second round.
Fett was a runaway winner in the first set as she broke her opponent three times while dropping just two points on her own serve. It was in the second that Nahimana came into her own, breaking Fett twice and pushing her to a 4-4 score.
It was Fett’s experience that came through with the Croat earning three match-points on Nahimana’s serve in the 10th game and winning it off the third.
This follows qualifying wins over Martina Colmegna and Angela Fita Boluda, both of which did not come easy for the world number 266. Can she continue with her momentum?

Trevisan shouldn’t have too much problem in getting past Fett in this one with a straight-set win looking quite likely as the result.
