Our 2023 ATP Stuttgart Open Predictions & Picks

The grass-court season is upon and it is the shortest swing in all of tennis. Just four weeks building up to Wimbledon.

So let’s quickly analyze the potential winners in Stuttgart prior to the draw. Stefanos Tsitsipas hasn’t won a title this season despite notching 31 wins in 2023.

Tsitsipas will be keen to hoist some silver at the end of the week. The Greek has one title on grass in his resume which he won last year in Mallorca, so there is a good chance Tsitsipas can end his title drought this week.

Players you expect will challenge for the title will probably feel fatigued after the French Open (like Zverev), or some just returning to action after a spell on the sidelines (like Berrettini and Kyrgios).

But there is still a handful of names who love the grass and their games are tailor-made for it. Taylor Fritz springs to mind. He had a fantastic clay swing this season, reaching three semifinals on the dirt. His record on grass is not too shabby. Last year he went 8-3 on the surface including a run to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.

  • Outright Winner Tip: Stefanos Tsitsipas
  • Outright Winner Dark Horse Tip: Taylor Fritz
