Daria Kasatkina v Anhelina Kalinina Head to Head
There have been three previous meetings between these two players and Kasatkina leads 2-1. They face off on the grass courts of Berlin last year where Kasatkina won in three.

In what was her first match of the season on grass, Kasatkina was sent packing by the 81st-ranked Elina Avanesyan at the Berlin Open last week.
Kasatkina looked to be living up to her 1/3 favourites odds when she grabbed the first set with ease in that match but a stunning second loss was followed by the Russian frittering away a 5-2 lead in the decider.
The match went into a final set tie-breaker where Kasatkina then squandered two match-points at 6-4 before Avanesyan clinched it off his second.
Kasatkina has made it to two quarterfinals at thus tournament, bringing her back to a happy place for sure. But with that kind of a start last week and with Kasatkkina now drawn to play an opponent not too behind in her rankings, could make for an interesting viewing.
She will know she has her task cut out here.

Kalinina Shocked by Dart. Twice.
Twice now, Kalinina has made the second round of grass court competitions this season. And both times, she has been defeated at that stage, losing to Harriet Dart with much ease.
Interestingly the first time this happened in Nottingham, Kalinina was a 3/5 favourite. The second time around in the following week, Kalinina’s odds lengthened to 4/5 to win it but even then she had come into the encounter as a favourite.
Unfortunately for her, Dart proved to be too strong in front of her home audiences.
Kalinina will now hope she can at least get to that stage of the tournament given her first round opponent is ranked way higher and has done well on grass in the past. Can she do to Kasakina what Dart did to her?

This could turn out to be a tough battle that goes to the third set. Kasatkina holds a slight edge.
