They played three times and every time it was Schwartzman who won. All three matches were played on clay.

Kecmanovic Wins On Grass

Miomir Kecmanovic won’t enter Wimbledon winless after he scored some wins in Eastbourne in the past week. The Serbian hasn’t been that great of a player on the surface holding a 12-14 record overall in his career. His play on it this year kind of confirms that as he lost to Milos Raonic in his first grass match this year.

He didn’t look that better in Queen’s and it was only in Eastbourne where he got his only wins on the surface this year. Two wins still so it’s not that bad but don’t expect any kind of deep run from him this year.

The year in general has been rather shaky with an unimpressive 17 wins in 35 matches, a far cry from his level last year. His best tennis always comes on hard courts but even there he didn’t do anything of note (7-7). It remains to be seen whether he finds a good level later in the year but for now, beating Schwartzman would be a good thing.

He’ll have his chances but he could also get beaten if he’s not careful. Schwartzman is very nifty on grass.

Schwartzman Picks Up Rare Win This Year

Diego Schwartzman is not a bad player so when you say rare win it’s rather significant. In reality, that’s what it is. He’s got only 8 of them this year as he’s having a nightmare season which is by far his worst ever. The Argentine struggled with confidence for a long time with some off-court issues affecting his play as well.

Grass was never his best surface but he’s pretty nifty on it for someone who mostly does well on clay. He’s 12-17 on it which is far having posted a 1-1 record ahead of Wimbledon.

He downed Mackenzie McDonald in Queen’s which was a good win but then lost to Alex de Minaur in the next round. His level generally has been quite poor this year though I have a feeling that he can win this upcoming matchup.

Neither player is playing that well and I wouldn’t be surprised if Schwartzman ends up as the winner.

Kecmanovic v Schwartzman Prediction and Tip

Kecmanovic is favoured and the likely winner but I don’t trust him to do that at Wimbledon. Schwartzman can beat him and I expect at least four sets in this one.

Tips:

  • Moderate Risk Tip: Over 3,5 sets in the match: 4/6
