A finalist in Dallas this year, John Isner has not won a match in any of the other tournaments that he has played in this year.

The 38-year-old American will be playing his first tournament on grass this year. He has an excellent 53-27 career record on the surface and has a 4-0 record in grass court finals.

Isner’s best ever showing at a Grand Slam also came at Wimbledon, when he made it to the semifinals of the grass court major in 2018, before bowing down to Kevin Anderson in the second longest Grand Slam match in history.

He was also involved in the longest match in history, defeating Nicolas Mahut in the famous 11 hour and 5 minute contest in 2010.
