Ana Bogdan v Alycia Parks Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 30 year old Romanian, and the American, eight years her junior.

Bogdan is into the second round for the second successive year, and the third time in all, and she did so at the expense of the number 15 seed, Liudmila Samsonova.
It was a close match which saw the pair swap breaks midway through the first set, and, again, two games later.
That meant a tie-break, during which Samsonova’s form deserted her, and she dropped her serve four times.
Bogdan saved break points in three successive second set games, before she claimed the opening break for herself. Samsonova, though, responded with a break of her own straight away, and that meant another tie-break.
Bogdan went a mini-break down, recovered it, and it was Samsonova who finally cracked at the vital moment, giving her opponent a match point which she converted.

Parks is making her Wimbledon debut, having been knocked out in the first round of qualifying last year.
However, she has already gone further than in any of her previous Grand Slam appearances by navigating her way to the second round.
In truth, she could have faced a trickier opponent than the German, Anna-Lena Friedsam, the world number 87.
Friedsam began on the back foot by dropping her serve in the opening game of the match, and it took her several games to get back on level terms again.
Further break points came and went, and Friedsam had four in Parks next serve game alone.
Instead it was the American who broke and then held serve to take the first set.
Again Friedsam dropped her serve at the start of the second time, and this time Parks held on to her advantage, and, for good measure, broke once more to wrap up the match.
Bogdan v Parks Prediction and Tip
Whoever wins will take their place in the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time.
Based on how they performed in their respective first round matches, Bogdan can consider herself the favourite.
