Anastasia Potapova has pulled out and has since been replaced by the first alternate Rebecca Sramkova.

Our 2023 WTA Budapest Open Predictions & Picks
Last year, Bernarda Pera won the first of her two career titles in Hungary, streaking from qualifying and cruising to the title without dropping a single set.
Pera will once again be the front-runner this year, looking to defend her title and rise even higher in ranking. With Potapova’s withdrawal, Pera is the top seed, but there is no shortage of challengers.
Romania’s Sorana Cirstea has pedigree on this surface and won a WTA 125K title on clay this season. She’s enjoyed a resurgent season and is a worthy contender this week.
Two years ago, Putintseva won this event and is one of the most relentless counterpunchers on tour. But fatigue could be a factor here after playing a pair of three-set matches in Bastad 125 a couple of days ago. Her form is also touch and go, and it would be best to avoid the Kazakh altogether.
Apart from the usual suspects, an outsider who could be worth a punt here is Kamilla Rakhimova who broke the top 100 and currently sits at 72 in the rankings.
