Djere Continues To Win

Laslo Djere is playing really solid tennis right now as the Serbian is enjoying the last clay event of the year. It’s his best surface and these results won’t be happen on hard courts, or at least they’re highly unlikely to happen.

He’s made a really solid push recently with a run to the final of Hamburg where he was beaten by Alexander Zverev 7-5 6-3. Despite that loss, Djere continued winning in Kitzbuhel even with the short turnaround. He first beat Christopher O’Connell 6-4 7-6(4) and now added a win over Thiago Seyboth Wild 7-6(5) 6-3.

It wasn’t the best of matches from Djere who almost lost that tiebreak but winning it proved crucial as the Brazilian unraveled after that. He will face a very tough opponent in the next round, a player he never beat before though they only played once many years ago.

Both are in good form and have similar games. It’s going to be tough but Djere has been a proven professional for many years now.

Cachin Eying More Success

Pedro Cachin is having a lot of fun in recent weeks as he recently won his maiden ATP trophy in Gstaad by beating Albert Ramos Vinolas in the final 3-6 6-0 7-5. He faced the same player in Kitbzbuhel and once again beat him in very similar conditions 7-5 6-3.

Both events are played in high altitude but Kitzbuhel plays a bit slower because of the lower altitude. Cachin would prefer somewhat slower conditions but still benefits from the altitude as he has a really solid serve.

Those are some of the things that make him a very dangerous player as he showed it earlier this year with a decent run at the Madrid Open as well, another high-altitude event. His only loss in recent weeks happened in Hamburg against Davidovich Fokina 6-2 5-7 2-6 and it wasn’t a surprise.

Beatin Djere will make a really strong effort. Cachin has it in him but it’s going to be very close.

Djere v Cachin Prediction and Tip

This is going to be a very interesting but close one. I’m not sure where I lean, probably Djere but I think the over is the better option.

Tips:

  • Moderate Risk Tip: Over 21.5 games in the match: 4/6
