Stefanos Tsitsipas v Borna Coric Head to Head
There have been six previous meetings between these two and both have won three times apiece. Two of those came in 2023 with Tsitsipas beating Coric both times including once in Rome.

After having faced no real resistance from John Isner, Tsitsipas was made to work really hard in his quarterfinal against Nicolas Jarry. The Greek number one came back from a set down to scape past Jarry in a match that lasted three hours.
Tsitsipas had three opportunities to win the opening set as he led 6-3 in the tie-breaker but Jarry managed to save them all and clinch the set off the first chance he got.
In the second set, Tsitsipas squandered away a couple of chances to break the Jarry serve before eventually levelling things out in a second tie-breaker. The decider proved to be an easy one for Tsitsipas then as the world number five broke Jarry two times to get past him 6-7 (6), 7-6 (4), 6-2 and make the last four.
What that meant was that Tsitsipas has now registered 13 hardcourt wins this year to go with just three losses. This includes a 100% clean record in the United Cup and a run to the final of the Australian Open.

Coric Routs Ivashka
Coming into the tournament on the back of a 0-3 win-loss record on grass and then having featured on clay for the Hopman Cup, Coric showed he had no difficulty adjusting to the hardcourt surface of Los Cabos with his second successive win. And it was another one with ease.
Having routed Jason Jung 6-1, 6-2 in the second round, Coric overcame Ilya Ivashka in the quarterfinals in straight sets again.
Coric was on court for an hour and 40 minutes and the only resistance he faced was for a brief while in the second set when he fell 1-3 behind. He clawed back with a break of serve in the very next game and then at 4-4, Coric broke again to get a chance to serve for the match.
He faced a break-point in the next game and missed two match-point chances but off the third carved out a 6-3, 6-4 victory.
Tsitsipas will be a tough one but he has beaten the Greek earlier in this career.
