Zverev Rallies Past Dimitrov

2020 US Open finalist Alexander Zverev ousted Grigor Dimitrov in the third round on Saturday to reach the round of 16 for the fourth time in his career.

Zverev, who lost to Dominic Thiem in 2020, was also a semifinalist in 2021, but he missed out on last year’s tournament as he underwent  a surgery.

The German, seeded no. 12 this year, needed three and a half hours to rally past the 19th seed Bulgarian 6-7 (2-7), 7-6 (10-8), 6-1, 6-1. Zverev struck 15 aces and won 140 of 256 points in the match to advance to the second week.

Sinner v Zverev Prediction and Tip

This is expected to be a cracker. Zverev has dominated this rivalry and will go in with the psychological advantage. However, Sinner has been in better form this season, consistently going deep in big tournaments. This could go the distance with Sinner edging through.
