Wang Made the Tokyo ITF Final
Wang’s form has fallen off the radar this season and that has seen her ranking fall as well – going down from her career-best of 49th in the world to her current 91st. In fact, had it not been for her performance last week on the ITF circuit, featuring in this same city, it could have gotten a lot worse.
The Chinese player went on to tune up for this tournament with four successive wins to make the final of the Tokyo ITF competition where she met her match in Victorija Golubic.
The question is if she can continue with that same run against Lin after having entered this competition on the back of just three wins from her past 14 main draw matches on the WTA circuit.
