Adrian Mannarino v Jurij Rodionov Head to Head
Their only previous meeting before this came on the Challenger circuit where they faced off in 2019. Rodionov had won that in three sets.

Alibek Kachmazov is ranked 315th in the world and not surprisingly, the in-form Mannarino was 1/4 to win his second round match against him. As it turned out, the 34th-ranked Mannarino was stretched to three sets by Kachmazov before the Frenchman managed to come through.
In a match lasting two hours and 21 minutes, Mannarino was able to ward off a Kachmazov fightback before winning 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 to seal off his quarterfinal berth.
It was an encounter filled with break-points and breaks of serves – 23 and 13 respectively – and in the end, it was Mannarino who overcame his opponent with a decisive break in the fifth game of the third set.
Mannarino, who had earlier eased past Arthur Rinderknech in the first round, will now have a challenging opposition in the form of the resurgent Rodionov and despite starting out a 9/20 favourite (at bet365), he could be up for a challenge.

Rodionov Shocks Baez
Sebastian Baez might be a clay-court specialist but his form in hardcourt competitions in recent times has been quite decent and that’s also why he was a 3/5 favourite starting out against Rodionov.
As it turned out, Rodionov did not give Baez too many chances and in a match lasting an hour and 35 minutes, he defeated the Argentine 6-2, 6-4 to make it to the last eight.
Rodionov grabbed an early break of serve to go 3-1 up before breaking Baez yet again in the eighth game to wrap up the first set easily. In the second set, he was 2-0 up, lost his serve in the third game before pressurising his opponent as he looked to serve to stay in the match at 4-5.
This follows a challenging first round win for Rodionov over Gregoire Barrere after having made the main draw as a qualifier.

While Mannarino is a favourite and expectedly so, we don’t think Rodionov is going to make things any ease for his opponent. Expect him to edge out the Frenchman.
