Ons Jabeur v Jennifer Brady Head to Head
The pair have met twice on the tour so far. Both the players have won one match each that was played last season. Brady won at Cincinnati whereas Jabeur prevailed at Tianjin later in the year.

Earlier this year Jabeur became the first Arab woman to reach the last eight of a Grand Slam when she reached the quarter-finals at the Australian Open. She broke into the top 50 rankings as a result of that and is currently enjoying her highest ever ranking at 44.
She admitted that she wanted to inspire Tunisia as well as the whole of the Arab speaking world, especially Africa with her performances. The Tunisian followed that dream run by helping Tunisia progress in the Fed Cup as well. After a very impressive 2018 where she won one ITF event and reached the final at Moscow, she had a below-par 2019.
Jabeur lost more matches then she won and apart from a couple of semi-finals runs at Eastbourne & Tianjin, did not achieve anything of significance.
After winning in the first round at Dubai, she came up against Simona Halep and went down in a tough three-setter. This week she has been able to reach the second round at Doha for the first time on her eighth attempt. It will be interesting to see how far she can go this week.

Brady Coming off a Victory Over Top 20 Player
The 24-year-old American has started the new season very impressively. She reached the quarter-finals at Brisbane and the semi-finals at Dubai last week. Brady beat two top 20 players and another top 10 players last week in an amazing run. She has already beaten world number Ashleigh Barty last month at Brisbane
Brady has started her campaign in Doha with another solid win over fellow American Alison Riske. Now she needs to prove that she is more than just a giant killer and has it in her to win titles. She would also be eager to win her first-ever WTA title. It will be interesting to see if she can continue to punch above her weight and beat another higher-ranked opponent.
