Tommy Paul v Stefano Travaglia Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 23-year-old American, and the Italian who is five years older.

Paul has achieved a fair measure of success on the junior tours, where he has won four Challenger and six Futures titles, with clay very much his preferred surface.. But he has not been in good form since the return of the sport, and has not been beyond the second round of any tournament.
He did manage to qualify for Hamburg before losing to Andrey Rublev, and took the Norwegian Casper Ruud to five sets in their second-round French open match.
From there he went to Sardinia where he overcame the Slovak Andrej Martin, before Marco Cecchinato brought an end to his run.
However, last week in Antwerp, back on hard courts, he was well beaten first time out by the Spanish veteran Feliciano Lopez. He could not live with the Spaniard’s serve whilst dropping his own three times in what was a straightforward win for Lopez.

Travaglia Made Third Round in Paris
Like most Italians, Travaglia prefers clay and all of his junior titles, and all but one of his finals have been on that surface.
Since losing to Jordan Thompson in the first-round of the US Open, Travaglia has concentrated his efforts on the European clay court circuit – this will be his first match back on hard courts.
He reached the semi-finals of the Challenger event in Prostejov, the Czech Republic, and then had encouraging wins over Taylor Fritz and Borna Coric before eventually losing to compatriot Matteo Berrettini in the Rome Masters.
He went on the reach the third-round in Paris, beating Kei Nishikori along the way, before he was soundly beaten by Rafael Nadal. Then again, most players are on clay!
he would have been hoping for a good run last time out in the Sardinia Open, but was stunned in the first-round by fellow countryman Andrea Pellegrino, a man ranked 201 places below him in the world.
Paul v Travaglia Prediction and Tip
Although both men are more at home on a clay court, Travaglia is tipped to win this match. Paul is the higher-ranked player, but he is in no sort of form at the moment, whereas the Italian has achieved some decent results.
