That victory over Ramanathan in Newport was the last that Johnson experienced on the senior tour, having previously lifted the Nottingham Open trophy in 2016, and won the US Men’s Clay Court Championships in successive years.

The closest he has come oi the main tour since then was at the Winston Salem Open in 2018, when he lost to Daniil Medvedev in the final.

Johnson v Ramanathan Prediction and Tip

When the pair met in that final in Newport, it was a close match. However, Ramanathan has not maintained that level since then  and, although Johnson has not been in the best of form lately, he should win this match without too much difficulty.
