Misaki Doi v Kaja Juvan Head to Head

Kaja Juvan will be on cloud nine, filled with confidence heading into this affair. She just delivered the biggest win of her career by knocking out the World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka in the second round in Adelaide.
The Slovenian took the first set 7-6(6) in a fiercely contested battle. The second one, however, was incredibly one-sided as Juvan took it 6-1. Sabalenka was clearly out of her element as she committed 11 double faults, thus allowing her adversary to capitalise on these mistakes.
Juvan is yet to drop a set in Adelaide, having beaten Chloe Paquet in the opener in straight sets too.
Propelled by that breathtaking win over the Belarusian, the 21-year-old will look to produce a similar result against Doi. Currently ranked World No. 100, Juvan’s form last season wasn’t that phenomenal as she fell mainly in the early rounds. An exception to this was her home tournament in Portoroz where she reached the semis.

Doi Overcomes Gasanova Challenge
Misaki Doi, currently ranked #105, also delivered a good performance in the round of 16. She defeated Anastasia Gasanova (who had knocked out Elina Svitolina in the opener) 7-6(4), 6-3.
The 30-year-old, having overcome Kristina Kucova in the opener, is set for her first WTA quarterfinal since the 2019 Pan Pacific Open in Osaka.
Since then, Doi has played in a bunch of ITF and Challenger events where she has seen some success. In the upper-tier events, however, the Japanese hasn’t quite managed to deliver the same results.
She ended last year with a tally of 25-30, with her best run coming in the ITF Texas where she won the title.
Juvan v Doi Prediction and Tip
Doi has experience but Juvan has form. This is a match that can very well go either way but Juvan seems to have a relatively better chance of winning. After all, she has seen a lot more competitive tennis in top-tier WTA events than Doi of late. If anything, that experience alone should put her in a fairly better mindset to win here.
