Viktorija Golubic v Eva Lys Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 29-year old Swiss woman, and the German, who is nine years younger.

Golubic won her solitary WTA title on clay on home soil in Switzerland back in 2016, although that trophy vies with the silver medal she won in the doubles in Tokyo last year for pride of place on her mantlepiece.
However, she also won a Challenger event on clay in Saint Malo last May, so the surface should hold no dangers for her, even though this is her first clay court tournament of the year.
The Swiss player reached the quarter-finals of the Melbourne Summer Set event in January, but had to wait until Indian Wells before again winning more than two matches in an event, her run there ended by Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan.
Her last tournament was Miami, where she was beaten in the second round by the new world number one Iga Świątek.

German Qualifier Lys
.Lys made her main tour debut last July on home soil at the Hamburg Open, where she was given a wildcard into the main draw in both singles and doubles. She lost in the first round on both occasions.
However, three months later she earned her second career win on the ITF tour, winning a hard court tournament in Istanbul.
She has made the main draw in Stuttgart after coming through two rounds of qualifying, beating opponents much higher ranked than herself.
First she beat Christina Bucsa of Spain, the world number 129, in three sets, and needed just two sets to defeat the Liechtenstein player, Kathinka von Deichmann, currently ranked 243rd in the world.
Golubic v Lys Prediction and Tip
This will be only the second time that Lys has appeared in the main draw of a WTA event, and, whilst it will no doubt be a valuable experience for her, expecting her to win might be asking too much.
