Danielle Collins v Monica Puig Head to Head

Comeback for Puig?
Monica Puig has endured many disappointments in tennis in recent times. The player from Puerto stunned the world when she won the gold medal at the Olympics a few years back and for a time she was a very good tennis players.
Injuries happened and Puig never looked the same. This event will be the first one she will play since the 2020 French Open where she lost to Sara Errani in the first round. Before that match, Puig lost 9 matches in a row with many of the coming without even winning a set.
A couple of them were retirements as well as the player simply struggled with injuries. Now, two years after those matches, Puig will try to mount a comeback on a surface which suited her in the past.
Collins v Puig Prediction and Tip
Danielle Collins will take on a player she knows very well in Puig. They played a couple of times before and the American did not have much success against her. Most of these matches are a long time ago and since then Collins improved by a lot with Puig not so much.
The Puerto Rican barely played at all and it’s simply impossible to know how she will do in this match. I don’t think there is even a remote chance of her winning a set let alone the match. Collins is simply too good. She’s been one of the best players this year and Puig has not played competitively in two years.
