21 year old Jenson Brooksby was set as the underdog by bookmakers against Benjamin Bonzi in the second round, however the American played a brilliant match of tennis to come through in straight sets.
Brooksby was under pressure for most of the first set and saved multiple break points to stay on serve. The first set went to a tie break where Bonzi completely lost his first serve and Brooksby took full control of the rallies.
The American beat Bonzi 7-6(3), 7-5, 6-3 and got better as the match progressed. Brooksby defeated qualifier Mikhail Kukushkin in straight sets in the first round.
The number 29 seed in Wimbledon is actually taking part in this grand slam for the first time. He made his breakthrough in the tour last year where he burst into the scene in ATP Newport which is also on grass.
Brooksby had reached the Final of Newport as a wildcard and soared through the ATP rankings with brilliant performances throughout the North American swing last year.
The NextGen star is 3-3 on grass this year and has been increasing his level every match.

Garin Storms into Round three
Cristian Garin reached the third round of Wimbledon by storming past Frenchman Hugo Grenier 6-3, 6-1, 6-1.
The Chilean was on top of his game and Grenier looked like he had an empty tank after only the first set got over. Grenier had come through the qualifying draw and was playing his 5th match in 10 days.
Garin had reached the round of 16 last year where he lost to eventual champion Novak Djokovic. He defeated another qualifier, Elias Ymer in his first round match. He is yet to drop a set all tournament.
The former world number 17 has a decent record on grass in his career despite being labelled as a clay court specialist because he had won the French Open Boys title.
Brooksby vs Garin Prediction and Tip
Brooksby has an excellent game for the grass with his unique backhand and this ability to keep the ball in almost every single time. Garin has played well his first two matches, but on grass court Brooksby has a much higher level and is the clear favourite.
