Jack Draper v Stefan Kozlov Head to Head

Jack Draper was in Atlanta to play the event there however his ranking had him playing the qualifiers. He won a match but stumbled in the second match missing out on the main draw. It was a disappointing result for the Brit who has high hopes for this stretch.
A good run in North America could solidify him as a top 100 player and allow him to play lots of ATP events next season as keeps progressing on his tennis journey. The Brit is a natural fit on hard courts with his lefty forehand and solid serving.
He moves well around the court as he showcased back home in Britain during the grass season. It’s been a fabulous year so far with a 32-10 record but he’s only 2-2 on outdoor hard courts. It will take him some time to get comfortable but Washington is a good chance.
The draw is favourable as he got Kozlov who is not playing that well at the moment. I think Draper has more talent anyways so this will be a good start for him.

Rough Patch for Kozlov
Stefan Kozlov is not having a very good year with a 12-22 record and it’s a shame for the American as he has a lot of talent. He simply can’t catch a break with injuries and his inability to stay consistent on the court. Just last week in Atlanta he played Ramkumar Ramanathan, a very solid player, but not good enough to smash Kozlov 6-0 6-1.
There are obviously some issues with Kozlov that are making him play very bad tennis at the moment because his last win came in the Wimbledon qualifiers. Since then he’s played a couple of matches and lost all of the easily.
Kozlov generally has a fairly solid game that is unique in some aspects as he doesn’t play with too much power. It’s somewhat of a rarity nowadays with everyone hitting so hard but his finesse is what makes him a great watch.
He’s played here a couple of times before but never made it past the opening round. Doing so this time around will be even tougher considering his poor season overall and shaky form lately.
Draper v Kozlov Prediction and Tip
Draper and Kozlov never played before but one is looking much more sturdy this year. It’s Jack Draper, who is enjoying somewhat of a breakout season on the ATP Tour.
Kozlov looked very troubled last week in Atlanta and I don’t think he fixed it over a couple of days. They both lost to the same player last week in the qualifiers but Draper won a set while Kozlov won only one game. Take Draper.
