Otte Searching for Form
Having hit a career-high ranking of 36th in the world, Otte has plummetted back to 55th at the moment and that’s no surprise. It comes on the back of a poor run of form for the German which has seen him win just 17 of the 36 matches he’s played in this year.
What’s interesting to see is that Otte enters this tournament on the back of a doubles final at Sofia on Sunday – making it a quick turnaround between the two tournaments for him.
As far as singles play is concerned, Otte did win a round at Sofia against Dragos Madaras but playing Kamil Majchrzak in the second round, the German went out in three sets despite starting off as a favourite.
Against Sinner, Otte’s form will have to show a major turnaround if he wants to get things moving forward.

Sinner should have no difficulties here as he takes on a woefully out-of-form Otte and a straight-set win looks like the most likely result.
