Madison Keys v Daria Kasatkina Head to Head
The two ladies have a fair bit of rivalry between them. It is 7-1 to Keys, although she lost their last meeting earlier this year in Melbourne Set 2 in three sets.

Home favourite Madison Keys is off to a good start in San Diego as she beat Ellen Perez 6-1, 6-4 in reach round two.
The win has restored some confidence in the 27-year-old, who had a disappointing spell in Europe over the last few weeks. In Tallinn, she fell to Viktorija Golubic in straight sets, while in Ostrava, she succumbed to Elena Rybakina in three. Both those losses came in round one.
Keys was in relatively better form before that, as she reached the semis in Cincinnati (beating Iga Swiatek, Jelena Ostapenko, and Rybakina en route) and round three in New York.
As for her overall form, it has been a mixed year for Madison. She returned to the top 20 on the heels of a title run in Adelaide 2 and a semifinal showing in the Australian Open.
Later on, the World No. 18 also reached the final eight in Indian Wells and the round of 16 in the French Open.

Kasatkina, in a Superb Form
Daria Kasatkina began her journey in San Diego with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Leylah Fernandez.
Her record now stands at 39-18 and is well on track to surpass her previous-best tally of 42-24 in 2018. It has been quite a season for the Russian, who is ranked #11 after reaching the peak at #9 in August.
Among her highlights are title runs in San Jose and Granby and semifinal appearances in the Italian Open and French Open.
Of late, however, Kasatkina has struggled a bit. She lost to Ekaterina Alexandrova early in Ostrava while in the US Open, and she endured a similar fate at the hands of Harriet Dart.
But the fact remains that Daria has a fair bit of momentum – more than Keys – and is the clear favourite here.
Kasatkina v Keys Prediction and Tip
Given that Keys is playing at home, we cannot undermine her chances of carving an upset. At the very least, we may be looking at an entertaining, close encounter – especially considering their rivalry.
