Madison Keys v Ajla Tomljanovic Head to Head

Madison Keys of the USA is off to a good start in the Guadalajara Open, beating Magda Linette 6-3, 6-3.
With a record of 29-18 and the ranking of World No. 15, Keys has had an average season so far. It hasn’t been her best showing, but it is still something to be proud of.
The 27-year-old is looking to cap what has been an uneventful year where her highlights are the Adelaide International 2 title and semifinal results in the Australian Open and Cincinnati Open.
Last week, Keys reached the quarterfinal in San Diego after beating Daria Kasatkina en route. Before that, however, she lost in the first round in Tallinn and Ostrava, respectively, to Viktorija Golubic and Elena Rybakina. Considering this, Tomljanovic has got a chance to topple Madison.

Tomljanovic, Having a Superb Year
Ajla Tomljanovic has had a pretty good season and will be happy with how things have gone for her.
She arrived in Mexico with a tally of 35-24 and a little over $1.3 million in prize money. More impressively, she is the current World No. 35 – which is just one place shy of her career-best ranking at the 34th spot.
Tomljanovic reached consecutive quarterfinals in the last two majors, in addition to the Cincinnati Open – beating the likes of Paula Badosa, Veronika Kudermetova, Serena Williams, Liudmila Samsonova, and Barbora Krejcikova.
With every match, the 29-year-old is getting closer to bagging her first WTA title – but whether that will happen in Guadalajara is another question.
Ajla did start with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Fernanda Contreras Gomez and will hope to keep that rhythm going.

This match can go either way; Keys may be the odds-on favourite, but Tomljanovic is well-positioned to cause an upset. We may be looking at a long affair.
