Filip Krajinovic v Sumit Nagal Head to Head
They have met once before in the round of 16 on clay in Rome in 2016, Krajinovic winning their match in three sets.

.Krajinovic has the unenviable record of having made five finals and lost them all, beginning with the Paris Masters in 2017, when he was defeated by the American, Jack Sock.
The most recent of those reverses came last year at the Queen’s Club Championship, when he was beaten by the defending champion Matteo Berrettini.
That also showed his versatility though, because his finals have all been on different surfaces, although he has a natural preference for clay.
Highlights of 2022 included getting to the third round of the French Open, which matched his previous best at a Grand Slam event, achieved at the USv Open in 2019.
He also reached the third round of the Italian Open.
This will be his first match since losing in the opening round of the US Open to Alex de Minaur in straight sets.

Nagal, Indian Number One But Struggling
Nagal, who is the current Indian number one tennis player, has been given a wildcard into his home event.
When he won the Wimbledon doubles title as a junior, hopes were high that he would be a future star of the sport, but things have not gone according to plan, and there have been off the court issues as well, leading him to being dropped from the Indian Davis Cup team at one stage for disciplinary reasons.
Then a hip injury that he suffered towards the end of the 2021 season further derailed his career for a while.
Prior to that he had enjoyed some success on the Challenger tour, reaching his first final in Bosnia, and winning a title in Argentina a few months after that.
He made his return in April last year, but struggled to find his form again on the Challenger circuit, and attempts to qualify for the French and US Opens both ended at the first round stage.
Krajinovic v Nagal Prediction and Tip
It is hard to make a case for Nagal winning this match, and, if he can take a set off the Serb he will have done very well. He will have enthusiastic local backing, but that will not be enough to bridge the gap in class.
