Daniel Elahi Galan v Tomas Barrios Vera Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 26 year old Colombian, and the Chilean, who is a year younger.

The current Colombian number one, Galan has won four Challenger tour titles, all of them on clay, with his most recent success coming last April in Sarasota in the USA.
However, he proved he can adapt his game to other surfaces by making the third round of both Wimbledon and the US Open last year.
In particular, he distinguished himself in New York by knocking out Stefanos Tsitsipas, recording his first ever win against a top five player. He then beat Jordan Thompson of Australia in a bad tempered five set encounter.
He went on to reach the quarter-finals in San Diego, his second of 2022. His first came in this same event in Cordoba, where he had only qualified as a Lucky Loser, eventually losing to the top seed Diego Schwartzman.
This will be only his third match on the main tour in 2023 – the first two ended in defeats. He was beaten in the opening round of Adelaide by Mackenzie McDonald, and at the Australian Open by Jeremy Chardy of France, losing in four sets,

Vera Makes First Main Draw Appearance in Over a Year
Vera has been the recipient of a wildcard in Cordoba this week.
A Davis Cup player with Chile, who also represented them in the Tokyo Olympics, he has won one Challenger title, in Germany last year.
He has also appeared in five other finals at that level, all of them on clay, the most recent of which was just last month in Piracicaba, Brazil, where he lost to the Argentine Andrea Collarini in straight sets.
This, though, will be his first appearance on the main tour since qualifying for the Australian Open last year.
His attempt to qualify for the other Grand Slams in 2022 all ended in failure, as did his bid to make the main draw in Melbourne this time round.
Galan v Vera Prediction and Tip
Galan is a far more experienced player on the main tour than Vera, and, having reached the quarter-finals in Cordoba last year, will be hoping to at least emulate that achievement. Vera has the advantage of going into the match with very little to lose, but it would be a minor upset if he were to advance.
