Sebastian Baez v Hugo Dellien Head to Head
The only previous meeting between these two came in the Concepcion Challenger in 2021 and Baez had won that in straight sets.

Marcelo Barrios Vera is ranked outside the top 200 and has a career-best ranking of 124th in the world. He had made it past Daniel Elahi Galan and Bernabe Zapata Miralles to make it to the quarterfinal but was expected to meet his match against the 47th-ranked Baez.
For a while it did look like Baez was living up to those expectations too as he ran off to two breaks of serve in the first set and saved the only break-point he faced in the match.
And it was no different in the second either to kick things off as Baez had three break-points in the third game which he frittered away.
Barrios Vera then shocked him with a break of serve off the only opportunity he had – it came in the sixth game – and then saved two more break-points before clinching the equaliser.
Fortunately for Baez, he has been in situations like these before and found his bearings very quickly to work his way to a 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 win.
This followed an opening bye and a straight-set victory over Luciano Darderi in the second round for Baez.

Dellien Continues Surprise Run with Win over Cerundolo
Dellien was a 6/5 underdog going into his quarterfinal against Juan Manuel Cerundolo and needed to come back from being a set down to clinch a surprise semifinal berth here in Cordoba.
Having made it to the main draw as a qualifier, Dellien had defeated Pedro Cachin and Guido Pella coming into this one.
And two hours and 22 minutes later, he managed to extract a 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-0 victory over Cerundolo to reach the semifinal of an ATP tournament for the first time ever in his career.
Dellien was broken twice in the encounter, and both those came in the first set as he frittered away the advantage on two occasions. Cerundolo grabbed the set in the tie-breaker that followed before coming back to earn himself four breaks of serves in the next two sets.
