Elena Rybakina v Marie Bouzkova Head to Head
There have been three previous meetings between these two players before this and Rybakina has won each time. Two of these came in hardcourt competitions while the other was on clay. Both the hardcourt encounters came last season.

She was a 1/4 favourite at her Abu Dhabi Open second round match against Beatriz Haddad Maia but Rybakina had fallen to a three-set loss after being a set up to the Brazilian.
Rybakina did not let that shock loss affect her in her very tricky opening round encounter against Bianca Andreescu, living up to her 3/10 odds to get through. The Kazakh won in straight sets, in a match that lasted an hour and a half.
Sure, she did fall behind in the second set when Andreescu broke her and went 3-1 up and then again to take a 4-2 lead. From that point on though, it was Rybakina all the way who lost five more points in the entire match to claim her second round berth 6-3, 6-4.
Now coming into this encounter, she faces an opponent whom she has got the better of every single time and relatively easily too. Unless she muffs up dramatically, Rybakina could well be on her way to the round three.

Bouzkova 3-5 for the Season after Kenin Win
Bookmakers did not know whom to really pick as a favourite and although Bouzkova did hold a slight edge, not too many would have expected the carnage that followed in her opening round match against Sofia Kenin.
Bouzkova won 6-1, 6-1 in a mere 63 minutes to progress into the second round of a competition she has never played before.
The Czech hasn’t had the best of seasons so far though. She ended the United Cup on a 1-1 win-loss record, and from there on won just one main draw match across four tournaments.
Last week, she had entered the Qatar Open in the qualifiers but fell to Rebecca Marino in the final qualifying round.
With that kind of form under her belt, the aforementioned rout of Kenin would have pleased her no end. The only trouble is the quality of opposition now improves drastically and it’s difficult to see her conjure up a plan to master Rybakina.
Rybakina v Bouzkova Prediction and Tip
Rybakina is 3/10 to win this and we reckon she shouldn’t have a lot of difficulties doing this. Expecting a straight-set win here.
